Acupuncture

Hilary is a Member of the British Acupuncture Council, and has worked full time as an acupuncturist since qualifying in 1996. Previously she worked in the NHS as a nurse, and then as a health promotion manager. In the latter role she was involved in the funding and evaluation of pilot projects in complementary medicine in community groups, and through this she became fascinated by the potential of acupuncture and decided to train.

She has worked as an acupuncturist both in the NHS and privately, and has a wide range of experience. For six years she lectured in Chinese medicine, the theory behind acupuncture, in the Northern College of Acupuncture in York. She has also been Clinical Supervisor in the college’s training clinic for the last seven years. Additionally she has worked at various times as a Clinical Supervisor in acupuncture clinics in both Salford and Leeds Universities.

Hilary welcomes clients of all ages, both genders, and with a wide range of conditions. She currently works at the Craven Clinic on Thursdays, and also has a clinic in Bradford.
